This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous instruction in Computer Science, Coding, Information Technology, Career Pathways, and related CTE courses for Grades 9β12.
β’ Assist students in cultivating technical, academic, and workplace readiness skills that align with Arkansas College and Career Readiness Standards.
β’ Guide students through coursework aligned with their chosen pathways, including the requirements for Level I, Level II, and Level III completion.
β’ Create and implement project-based learning opportunities that integrate real-world applications and career connections.
β’ Support students in their pursuit of industry-recognized certifications, dual credit opportunities, and other career-oriented learning experiences.
β’ Incorporate career exploration, workforce readiness, and postsecondary planning into the instructional process.
β’ Complete grading, progress monitoring, and provide student feedback promptly.
β’ Collaborate with students, families, counselors, and support staff to develop and update the Student Success Plan.
β’ Differentiate instruction to address diverse learning needs and enhance student mastery.
β’ Offer individualized support and academic intervention as necessary.
β’ Maintain precise student records, attendance documentation, and communication logs.
β’ Work together with counselors, advisory teachers, and instructional staff to promote student success.
β’ Regularly communicate with students, parents/learning coaches, and school personnel about academic progress and pathway completion.
β’ Facilitate virtual community-building activities, career awareness events, pathway initiatives, and school outreach efforts.
β’ Participate in state testing administration, professional development, and school events as required.
β’ Perform other assigned duties.
β’ A valid Arkansas teaching certification applicable to Grades 9β12 and the respective subject area.
β’ An Arkansas Computer Science endorsement (528) is preferred.
β’ Certification or proven experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Career and Technical Education (CTE), or related fields is preferred.
β’ A solid understanding of college and career readiness, career pathways, workforce development, and CTE instruction.
β’ Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual learning platforms.
β’ Capability to deliver effective virtual instruction and manage online learning environments.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ A student-centered mindset coupled with strong relationship-building skills.
β’ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic virtual environment.
β’ Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving capabilities.
β’ Willingness to travel occasionally for state testing, school events, outreach activities, or professional meetings.
β’ Capability to work remotely and support occasional evening hours when necessary.
β’ Proficiency in using a personal electronic device and email for two-step authentication.
