This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee and manage educational, administrative, and counseling initiatives for high school students.
• Ensure that educational programs align with state and local school board regulations.
• Investigate and incorporate non-K12 curriculum resources that adhere to state standards as necessary.
• Clearly communicate the school’s mission and vision while fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
• Utilize communication technologies to facilitate a primarily virtual/remote work atmosphere.
• Ensure adherence to laws concerning special education and categorical programs.
• Engage with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and local districts about attendance and engagement regulations.
• Develop and supervise the execution of the Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
• Oversee and assess the performance of teaching staff.
• Manage teacher performance and provide opportunities for professional development training.
• Supervise Master and Lead Teachers along with their respective programs.
• Consult with teachers, students, and parents regarding educational and behavioral issues.
• Collaborate with teachers and K12 Enrollment concerning expulsions and withdrawals.
• Supervise between 15 to 30 full-time equivalent regular employees and/or contractors.
• Conduct interviews, hire, train, assign, direct, and evaluate staff; address complaints and resolve issues.
• Certification as a Texas Principal.
• Requirement to reside in Texas.
• Prior experience in a supervisory role.
• Possession of a Master’s degree.
• A minimum of five (5) years of educational experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Competence in web-based technologies.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time for meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Capability to pass the necessary background check.
