This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee the medical strategy and external engagement for the VEXAS disease area within the Vonjo (pacritinib) Medical Affairs team.
• Define how Sobi supports the community of VEXAS patients and healthcare providers.
• Act as the primary medical representative for VEXAS, leading the US medical strategy.
• Collaborate closely with Field Medical to educate and engage healthcare providers (HCPs), medical organizations, payers, and patient advocacy groups.
• Work cross-functionally to promote shared business objectives.
• Develop and enhance engagement plans for key opinion leaders (KOLs) and significant institutions.
• Direct the planning and execution of advisory boards and educational initiatives, such as webinars, medical roundtables, symposia, and congress participation.
• Generate and disseminate medical insights to internal stakeholders to refine strategies and tactics.
• Cultivate strong collaborative relationships across Market Access, Medical Information, Clinical Development, Sales, and Marketing.
• Contribute to evidence generation projects and real-world evidence studies related to the VEXAS disease area.
• Assist in launch readiness through disease education and planning for evidence generation.
• MD, PhD, or PharmD required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a role as an Associate or Medical Director.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, mainly within the domestic sphere.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to establish meaningful, two-way relationships with the medical community.
• Strong scientific and clinical knowledge combined with strategic and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Proven leadership experience across essential Medical Affairs functions, including evidence generation, publications, medical education, and strategy development.
• A collaborative and cross-functional approach with the drive to work effectively at all organizational levels.
