This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
• Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the regional MSL team.
• Manage, mentor, develop, and assess MSL direct reports.
• Promote collaboration, retention, engagement, growth, and work-life balance.
• Identify training requirements for MSLs and coordinate training plans and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with standards and timely submission of CRM, expense reports, and training modules.
• Lead the team through organizational changes and execution of medical initiatives.
• Collaborate with medical leadership to formulate Field Medical strategy, tactics, and Scientific Engagement Plans.
• Enhance field medical insights to refine strategies and tactics.
• Identify and advocate for tools and resources that support Scientific Engagement Plans.
• Oversee scientific engagement activities with opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and population health decision-makers.
• Develop key-account engagement and execution strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Guide MSL education and communication regarding clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to population health decision-makers.
• Represent the MSL team to senior leadership and articulate the impact of Field Medical.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and assist with congress activities.
• Participate in and lead project teams that support Field Medical strategies and tactics.
• Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration between field medical and field commercial teams.
• Doctorate degree with 4 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Master’s degree with 8 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• 4 years of managerial experience directly overseeing people and/or leadership experience in leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation.
• Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
• Preferred: 7 years of industry experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Preferred: 7 or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Preferred: 3+ years in a medical science liaison role at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Preferred: 3 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation.
• Expertise in Obesity and Related Conditions.
• Territory includes MN, NE, KS, MI, WI, IL, and IN.
