This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the medical strategy and external engagement initiatives for the VEXAS disease area within the Vonjo (pacritinib) Medical Affairs team.
• Shape the support Sobi provides to the VEXAS patient and provider community, establishing scientific credibility and trust across the hematology, rheumatology, dermatology, and inflammation sectors in an evolving and intricate disease landscape.
• Act as the primary medical representative for VEXAS, steering the US medical strategy while collaborating closely with Field Medical to educate and engage healthcare providers (HCPs), medical organizations, payers, and patient advocacy groups.
• Work collaboratively across functions to further shared business objectives.
• Create and disseminate medical insights to internal stakeholders.
• Develop strong collaborative relationships across Market Access, Medical Information, Clinical Development, Sales, and Marketing.
• MD, PhD, or PharmD degree.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Associate or Medical Director.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily within the domestic territory.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to cultivate meaningful, bi-directional relationships within the medical community.
• Strong scientific and clinical knowledge coupled with strategic and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership in core Medical Affairs functions, including evidence generation, publications, medical education, and strategy development.
• A collaborative, cross-functional approach with a proactive attitude toward working effectively across all organizational levels.
• A results-oriented mindset characterized by urgency, a solution-driven approach, and innovative thinking.
