This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Focus on customer engagement
• Clearly communicate the clinical profile of BESREMi®, outline pivotal trial data, and effectively address clinical and non-clinical obstacles to key stakeholders involved in hematology oncology patient care.
• Collaborate with cross-functional commercial teams, including market access and medical departments, to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and dedication to patient care by sharing knowledge across teams, investing in personal skill enhancement, and staying informed about evolving clinical and business landscapes.
• Focus on achieving results
• Develop, maintain, and leverage clinical and business expertise within the hematology oncology sector to create territory business plans that meet the diverse needs of customers in the area concerning BESREMi®.
• Formulate specific account/prescriber action plans that establish a clear path to achieving set objectives within designated timeframes, utilizing analytics to identify trends and monitor progress against goals.
• Surpass business targets through strategic planning, teamwork with partners, and effective use of tools and resources for the seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial expertise
• Become a true subject matter expert on all critical topics influencing business success, including disease state knowledge, clinical insight, product proficiency, competitive intelligence, market dynamics, and customer needs across various segments.
• Exhibit creativity and resourcefulness in problem-solving, embracing a “no task is too big or too small” mindset that is vital for success in a startup environment.
• Enhance knowledge and skills (clinical, marketplace, competitive), explore innovative approaches to persistent challenges, and continually elevate performance standards.
• Display business acumen
• Apply data and sound judgment to consistently assess plans and make necessary adjustments to adapt to the shifting landscape and business dynamics.
• Utilize CRM as a strategic resource for evaluating and tracking customer status and advancing sales initiatives.
• Complete sales administrative tasks (T&E, compliance SOPs, Sunshine reporting, etc.)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors, particularly in hematology, solid tumors, or rare diseases.
• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Proven track record of hematology oncology sales experience in both academic and community-based settings.
• Established relationships with key customers are highly regarded (e.g., KOLs, key account leadership).
• Experience with new product launches is essential.
• Familiarity with other commercial functions (e.g., marketing, market access, sales operations, sales training, insights/analytics, business development, etc.) is preferred.
• Previous experience in a startup company environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of specialty pharmacy is preferred.
• A history of high performance and a commitment to making a positive impact for patients.
• Ability to comprehend all aspects of the sales cycle, including patient identification, building clinical conviction, overcoming access and reimbursement challenges, and navigating distribution.
• Capacity to think innovatively and seek solutions to access customers and meet business requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, along with a strong leadership presence.
• Proven adaptability to changes in the work environment, maintaining a big-picture perspective amid frequent changes, delays, unexpected events, or uncertainties related to new product launches with professionalism and maturity.
• Must consistently uphold high ethical standards and prioritize the patient’s needs.
• Strong critical thinking and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrate a robust sales hunter mentality, capable of generating new leads and achieving results.
