Helpline Counselor, Weekend Overnights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Daily responsibilities involve executing crisis and suicide intervention services, conducting basic needs and safety assessments, and delivering information, community service referrals, and supportive listening through phone or virtual chat.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Florida, living within the state.

• Maintain a secure, quiet, and confidential workspace with dependable internet access.

• Should not have caregiver responsibilities during work hours.

• Ability to successfully pass a level two (2) DCF background check and drug test prior to employment.

• Meet or surpass our educational qualifications:

• - A bachelor's degree (or higher) in psychology, human services, education, mental health, social work, early intervention, or a related field, along with one (1)+ years of experience in crisis and suicide intervention, counseling, therapy, and assessment techniques, or experience working in children's behavioral health, substance use, or the special needs system of care OR

• - An associate's degree plus two (2)+ years of experience in suicide/crisis intervention.

• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM is required.

• Must be comfortable working in a phone and virtual chat-based environment.

• Availability during the day from Monday to Friday for nine (9) weeks of initial training starting in September 2026 (hours will transition to a permanent schedule after training is completed).

• Commitment to working full shifts on Saturdays and Sundays as part of the regular schedule.
