This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategic planning of technology, collaborating with leadership to establish long-term architectural roadmaps that align with OCHIN’s clinical, operational, and business objectives.

• Act as a trusted advisor and consultant on complex challenges related to design, architecture, and support.

• Develop and implement strategic solutions that address both internal and external requirements.

• Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to propose adoption strategies that improve care delivery and system performance.

• Provide technical leadership, guiding teams through the phases of planning, development, and implementation.

• Work collaboratively across departments to identify and resolve intricate system issues while enhancing system efficiency and performance.

• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategy and clinical outcomes.

• Manage technical escalations, offering expert-level support across Epic EMR and enterprise/vendor systems to ensure operational continuity.

• Create and uphold enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance models to guarantee consistency, scalability, and security across all solutions.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging proactive problem-solving and modernization.

• Assist with strategic projects and initiatives as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Epic application administration, demonstrating strong knowledge of Epic build, enhancements, and workflow.

• At least 3 years of experience or Epic certification in two or more of the following Epic modules: EpicCare Ambulatory, Radiant, ASAP, HIM, Prelude, Cadence, Hello World, Security, Identity, and Interconnect.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in integrating external applications using SMART on FHIR, SAML, XML, Epic Private APIs, or device integration.

• At least 2 years of experience in developing custom Epic code, or hold an Epic Chronicles Database Programmer certification.

• Experience in healthcare management is preferred.

• Experience in organizational management with the capability to collaborate across teams to develop and implement operational projects is preferred.

• Strong project management skills are preferred.
