This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Evaluate realistic regulatory and healthcare legal issues
• Compare six anonymized legal deliverables labeled A–F against a standard comparator output
• Conduct five direct comparisons
• Analyze legal work products for accuracy, completeness, judgement, and practical applicability
• Examine regulatory compliance programs, internal controls, and adherence to Investment Advisers Act Rule 206(4)-7
• Assess healthcare, pharmaceutical, and clinical data privacy issues under HIPAA and relevant state privacy regulations
• Review compliance matters related to healthcare regulation, providers, pharmaceuticals, and the healthcare sector
• Analyze DOJ False Claims Act Civil Investigative Demands, response strategies, documentation, exposure, and investigative aspects
• Review matters related to the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, including financial relationships, referral arrangements, restrictions, and exceptions
• Assess ESG and sustainability disclosure responsibilities and provide proposed legal analysis
• Identify significant errors, omissions, unsupported interpretations, and misleading recommendations
• Deliver clear and specific written justifications for preference decisions in precise professional English
• Adhere to project guidelines and evaluation criteria consistently
• Licensed attorney with significant professional experience in regulatory law, healthcare law, privacy, or compliance
• Extensive experience in one or more of the following: investment adviser compliance; Rule 206(4)-7 compliance programs; HIPAA and healthcare data privacy; state privacy law; ESG and sustainability disclosure; False Claims Act investigations; Anti-Kickback Statute analysis; Stark Law
• Capable of holistically evaluating legal work for accuracy, completeness, judgement, and practical utility
• Excellent regulatory and legal analytical capabilities
• Proficient in precise written English
• Comfortable comparing differing legal methodologies and articulating preference decisions
• Able to work autonomously following detailed written instructions and meeting deadlines
• All project work will be subject to NDA and confidentiality requirements
• External AI tools are prohibited for use on project materials
• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this engagement
• Part-time independent contractor position
• Fully remote work environment
• Compensation ranging from $90–$110/hour
• Approximately 30 hours of work throughout the engagement
• Project durations may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project requirements and performance
