Healthcare Field CTO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as Cohesity's leading representative in the healthcare sector, engaging in public speaking at conferences, creating written content, and interacting with healthcare executives, including CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs, as a respected peer and advisor.

• Collaborate with field sales and SE teams on key strategic initiatives, participating in executive briefings, workshops, and proof-of-concept demonstrations with healthcare clients and potential customers.

• Simplify intricate healthcare data challenges — encompassing data protection, ransomware resilience, regulatory compliance, and AI-readiness — into persuasive narratives that align with Cohesity's platform capabilities.

• Establish and nurture relationships with vital industry organizations, health systems, payers, and technology partners within the healthcare ecosystem.

• Serve as the main link between the healthcare sector and Cohesity's Product Management team, identifying customer needs, validating roadmap priorities, and advocating for essential capabilities pertinent to the industry.

• Create and uphold Cohesity's healthcare-specific perspective — including use cases, reference architectures, and competitive positioning — in close partnership with product, marketing, and engineering teams.

• Contribute to the go-to-market strategy for healthcare, encompassing segmentation, solution packaging, and partnership priorities.

• Equip and enhance the skills of account teams on healthcare-specific sales strategies, industry dynamics, regulatory requirements, and technical frameworks.

• Act as a resource for resolving complex technical or strategic challenges in significant healthcare accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in enterprise technology, with substantial experience in the healthcare sector.

• Profound, hands-on knowledge of healthcare IT environments — including Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems (Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, etc.), PACS/VNA infrastructure, HL7/FHIR standards, and clinical workflows.

• Strong grasp of the healthcare regulatory framework, including HIPAA, HITECH, and emerging considerations in AI governance.

• Experience in a customer-facing technical leadership position — such as Field CTO, Chief Medical Information Officer, VP of Healthcare Strategy, or similar roles — with a proven record of influencing major enterprise decisions.

• Capability to engage effectively across a diverse range of stakeholders, from clinical informaticists and IT architects to C-suite executives and board members.

• Familiarity with data security, backup and recovery, and data management principles as they relate to healthcare settings — direct experience with Cohesity or competing platforms is highly advantageous.

• Strong executive presence, outstanding communication skills, and a proven ability to create original thought leadership materials.

• Willingness to travel frequently to client locations, industry events, and Cohesity offices.

• Proven ability to utilize AI tools to boost productivity, optimize workflows, and aid in decision-making.

• Proficient in English (Able to engage fluently in speaking, reading, and writing in a professional and specialized context).
