
Health Program Training and Technical Assistance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
⢠Assist in delivering evidence-based and practice-oriented health communication technical support, training, and consulting activities.
⢠Aid in conducting needs assessments and engaging with recipients.
⢠Support the development of communication strategies, plans, messaging, outreach materials, and public health communication initiatives.
⢠Create and distribute tools, resource guides, templates, communication materials, and implementation support resources.
⢠Organize webinars, workshops, virtual training sessions, meetings, peer exchanges, communities of practice, and various other learning opportunities.
⢠Manage requests for technical assistance consultations, prepare related materials, document recommendations, and monitor follow-up actions.
⢠Review and enhance communication plans, implementation strategies, messaging, outreach materials, educational products, and communication resources.
⢠Participate in the development and maintenance of content for the website and resource center.
⢠Develop and organize resource libraries, perform environmental scans, and identify promising practices along with evidence-based resources.
⢠Contribute to literature reviews and the synthesis of public health information.
⢠Coordinate logistics for meetings, including scheduling, communications, materials preparation, note-taking, and tracking action items.
⢠Assist in the creation of reports, presentations, briefs, communication resources, implementation supports, and other written materials.
⢠Collect, monitor, analyze, and report metrics related to technical assistance, training, educational materials, and participant satisfaction.
⢠Contribute to evaluation processes and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
⢠Ensure quality control and compliance with project timelines and deliverable requirements.
⢠Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, public policy, behavioral or social sciences, nutrition, exercise science, communications, or a related field.
⢠A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in public health, health education, capacity building, training and technical assistance, community engagement, health communication, program implementation, or similar activities.
⢠Experience in supporting meetings, trainings, webinars, stakeholder engagement activities, or technical assistance projects.
⢠Familiarity with adult-learning principles, facilitation techniques, instructional design approaches, health education practices, or other related methods.
⢠Experience in developing tools, guidance documents, communication materials, training resources, or public health products.
⢠Knowledge in supporting dissemination, knowledge sharing, resource development, or recipient engagement activities.
⢠Experience in qualitative or quantitative data collection, reporting, and evaluation activities.
⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
⢠Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
⢠Strong oral and written communication skills.
⢠Excellent technical writing and editing skills.
⢠Preferred: experience with public health communication products, chronic disease prevention, healthy communities, nutrition, physical activity, obesity prevention, health promotion, health equity, federally funded projects, recipient support, and community-based organizations.
