This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Receive and process requests for patient health information in alignment with Company and Facility policies and procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all privileged information.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Company and facility software.
• Comply with the Company's and Customer facilities Code of Conduct and policies.
• Notify the manager of work-related issues, site challenges, and/or varying workloads.
• Provide assistance with additional job duties or responsibilities as necessary.
• Consistently apply medical privacy regulations to prevent unauthorized disclosures.
• Manage patient health records effectively.
• Safeguard patient records and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare new patient charts by collecting documents and information from paper and/or electronic health records.
• Ensure that medical records are organized in standard order, accurate, and complete.
• Create digital images of documents for storage in the electronic medical record.
• Respond to requests for patient records, both internally and from external sources, retrieving and transmitting them appropriately.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls.
• Assist with patient walk-ins as needed.
• Support administrative tasks such as managing faxes, opening mail, and data entry.
• Meet productivity expectations as specified at the designated site.
• Schedule pick-ups as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to commute between locations as necessary.
• Willingness to work overtime during peak periods when required.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills.
• Comfortable using phones, fax machines, printers, and other standard office equipment regularly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
