• The program equips students to confidently manage healthcare data and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participants gain practical experience with EPIC, SQL, Tableau, and Crystal Reports, enhancing their skills in clinical data management, system implementation, and reporting.
• The curriculum familiarizes learners with workflows related to the EHR Support Analyst (ESA) role, including Epic optimization and system troubleshooting.
• Participants must dedicate 40 hours per week during standard business hours for both online training and the internship/externship.
• Candidates must be residents of California.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or GED certification is required.
• Candidates must be U.S. Citizens/Nationals or hold a valid Lawful Permanent Resident Alien status (non-citizens or Visa holders are not eligible).
• Proficiency in computer skills, specifically with MS Windows & MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is necessary.
• Ability to type at a net speed of 40 words per minute is required.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA regulations are essential.
• Candidates should possess analytical skills and be detail-oriented.
• Must be able to learn independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Eligible for monthly benefits reimbursement of up to $600 (participant cost only).
• Internet stipend of $35/month available for 44 weeks.
