This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Take ownership and manage the execution of implementation projects for both new and existing self-funded health benefit clients from the initial kickoff to go-live.
• Create, oversee, and sustain comprehensive implementation project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and tracking documentation.
• Facilitate implementation kickoff meetings, status updates, and other discussions involving client leadership, brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Collect, document, and verify client requirements regarding the setup and execution of benefit plans.
• Coordinate implementation tasks among internal operational teams and external partners to ensure precise and timely delivery.
• Identify and address project risks, dependencies, delays, and implementation challenges, driving them to resolution.
• Manage multiple implementations and competing deadlines while ensuring clear ownership of deliverables and follow-up actions.
• Clearly communicate project status, risks, decisions, and next steps to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate implementation needs related to self-funded medical plans and associated benefit services, such as claims administration, eligibility, HSAs, FSAs, COBRA, and other relevant services.
• Establish strong working relationships with clients, brokers, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams.
• Keep accurate implementation documentation and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of implementation processes, templates, and standards.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in health insurance, TPA, or employee benefits implementation.
• Proven experience in implementing or supporting self-funded employer health benefit plans.
• Background in managing implementation projects that require collaboration with multiple internal departments, external partners, and client stakeholders.
• Strong project management and coordination abilities, including experience in creating and overseeing project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience in leading client-facing implementation meetings, kickoff meetings, and discussions with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the self-funded benefits/TPA landscape, including claims administration, eligibility, plan setup, HSAs, FSAs, and COBRA.
• Capability to manage several concurrent projects and priorities while adhering to set deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with client management and internal leadership.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify implementation risks and drive issues to resolution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn web-based implementation and project management systems.
• An Associate’s degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% during peak implementation periods.
