This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wyoming.
• Assist the instructional program through both asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous teaching sessions.
• Ensure timely completion of grading, preparation of progress reports, and conducting of parent conferences.
• Regularly engage with parents, students, and fellow educators to create and revise Personal Learning Plans and schedules, assess scores, provide constructive feedback on student assignments, recommend instructional strategies, monitor assignment completion, and mentor special projects.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the entire K-12 curriculum and a detailed knowledge of the specific grades for which you are responsible.
• Offer alternative strategies to students and parents while providing additional help with daily assignments and projects.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents, students, and curriculum specialists via computer and phone.
• Keep student records and data current, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance records, and logs of all student and parent interactions.
• Collaborate with team members and learning specialists to develop alternate enrichment activities and make modifications to student programs to enhance understanding.
• Liaise with Parent Community Coordinators to propose social activities and relevant field trips for students.
• Organize regional field trips, ensuring they are integrated into the curriculum.
• Create and implement virtual methods to foster a sense of “school community.”
• Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing as directed.
• Contribute to student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives requiring teacher involvement.
• Review the curriculum and formulate alternative teaching approaches to enhance student comprehension, working directly with parents and students.
• Attend field trips and other community events organized for families.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Health and Physical Education in Wyoming, appropriate to grade level responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in technology.
