This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the SPMD team by establishing clear performance expectations, individual development plans, and fostering a culture of scientific excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
• Act as the main escalation point and strategic advisor for SPMD team members in navigating complex health system relationships and addressing enterprise-level challenges.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier scientific and medical talent; enhance team capabilities in line with evolving NAMA priorities.
• Demonstrate exemplary scientific partnership execution by personally managing a portfolio of priority national health systems and oncology networks.
• Collaborate with the VP, NAMA and Franchise/Commercial Leadership to define and implement the SPMD team’s strategic vision for enterprise health system engagement across BeOne Medicines’ entire oncology portfolio.
• Create and uphold integrated account strategies for leading US health systems and integrated delivery networks (IDNs), ensuring alignment with NAMA, R&D, Market Access, Clinical Operations, and Franchise/Commercial Leadership objectives.
• Promote a system-wide, portfolio-level engagement model that considers holistic health system priorities rather than isolated, product-specific interactions.
• Serve as a senior scientific partner to C-suite and D-suite leaders at key health systems, fostering robust institutional relationships that facilitate innovation adoption and clinical development.
• Function as the senior medical liaison between the SPMD team and essential internal partners, including FMDs, RMSLs, HOM, GMA, HEOR/RWE, R&D, Market Access, Clinical Operations, and Franchise/Commercial Leadership.
• Lead through influence to coordinate enterprise-level scientific engagement at key accounts, ensuring consistent scientific messaging across BeOne Medicines’ resources.
• Collaborate with Market Access and Franchise/Commercial Leadership to harmonize medical and commercial account strategies, acting as the senior medical voice in priority account planning.
• Establish and institutionalize best practices and standards for scientific information exchange, account strategy development, and evidence ecosystem integration across HEOR/RWE, FMDs/RMSLs, and HOM within the SPMD team.
• Identify and advocate for innovative scientific engagement opportunities, such as investigator-initiated research, clinical trial placements, and co-development of evidence generation programs with health system partners.
• Represent BeOne Medicines at significant national oncology congresses, advisory boards, and stakeholder forums.
• Ensure that all SPMD team activities adhere to applicable US regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor team performance against established KPIs and develop action plans as necessary.
• Oversee team budget and resource allocation in alignment with NAMA priorities.
• An advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or DO) is required within a clinical and/or scientific discipline.
• MD, PharmD, PhD, or DO with over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry is required.
• Medical Affairs experience is required, including field-based or account-facing medical roles.
• Broader enterprise experience across multiple functional areas beyond Medical Affairs is advantageous.
• Proven experience in leading or managing teams in a matrix or field-based environment.
• Extensive knowledge of the US clinical oncology landscape, including key health systems, oncology networks, and IDN structures.
• Established peer-level relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Decision Makers (KDMs), including oncology clinical and research thought leaders and access-related experts.
• Strong strategic thinking and enterprise planning skills, with the capacity to convert vision into actionable team-level plans.
• Ability to engage credibly at C-suite/D-suite and scientific leadership levels.
• Familiarity with US healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region; candidate must reside within the designated territory.
