Head of Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assuming comprehensive responsibility for the technology and data strategy of the company.

• Overseeing key areas including web development and IT.

• Creating a scalable systems and data architecture.

• Collaborating closely with executive management and various business units.

• Assessing new technologies, tools, and industry trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in leading engineering and/or data teams.

• Profound understanding of modern software architectures, APIs, system integrations, and scalable platforms.

• Familiarity with cloud systems like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, as well as topics such as DevOps, monitoring, and system architecture.

• Experience in building data platforms, data warehouses, BI solutions, and tracking setups.

• Knowledge of prevalent technologies and tools in web development, data, and infrastructure, such as Shopify, APIs, data pipelines, BI tools, or analytics setups.

• Proficiency in agile methodologies and processes including CI/CD, QA, and data governance.

• A data-driven mindset with an understanding of business KPIs.

• An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to make autonomous decisions.

• Fluency in German; proficiency in English is an advantage.
