Head of Technology – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Conduct an in-depth evaluation of the firm's current technology infrastructure.

• Analyze and map workflows throughout the M&A transaction process, pinpointing areas for automation and enhancement.

• Create and implement AI-driven solutions to optimize data gathering, financial assessments, due diligence, market analysis, document automation, and client interactions.

• Work collaboratively with leadership, deal teams, and IT to develop pilots, proofs of concept, and large-scale implementations.

• Set up metrics to evaluate technology adoption, the impact of AI, and ROI throughout deal execution.

• Establish and uphold data governance, privacy, and security standards, ensuring compliance with GDPR, POPIA, and other pertinent regulations.

• Protect sensitive client information by implementing top-notch cybersecurity practices and ethical AI usage.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.

• Experience in applying AI, machine learning, or technology-enhanced process enhancements within a business environment, preferably in financial services, M&A, or professional services.

• A solid grasp of mid-market M&A transaction procedures and typical technology frameworks.

• Practical experience with AI and automation tools such as natural language processing (NLP), robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning platforms, and data analytics software.

• A proven history of identifying business needs, implementing technology solutions, and achieving measurable enhancements.
