Head of Tax

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute EPI’s tax strategy across various European jurisdictions to facilitate business expansion.

• Ensure complete adherence to corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant regulations while navigating a rapidly changing fintech environment.

• Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams to enhance tax structuring for new products, markets, and partnerships.

• Proactively identify and manage tax risks associated with regulatory shifts and cross-border operations.

• Oversee relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.

• Establish scalable tax processes and governance frameworks that align with company growth.

• Provide strategic decision-making support by delivering clear, business-focused tax insights.

• Serve as the primary contact for tax authorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in tax, preferably within international organizations, fintech, or the financial services sector.

• In-depth knowledge of European tax regulations, including corporate tax and VAT in cross-border situations.

• Demonstrated ability to function at both strategic and operational levels in a dynamic environment.

• Experience in a scale-up or transformation context would be a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with regulated financial institutions or payment organizations is greatly appreciated.

• Proficient in English (CEFR C1 or C2); proficiency in additional European languages is an asset.
