
Head of Strategic Pharmaceutical Procurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• In this pivotal role, you will oversee the strategic pharmaceutical procurement function and play a key role in shaping the future development of the procurement strategy.
• You will lead a small, specialized team consisting of pharmacy assistants (PKA) and pharmaceutical technicians (PTA), both professionally and disciplinarily.
• You will manage and enhance the strategic pharmaceutical procurement processes.
• You will independently finalize and negotiate supplier contracts.
• You will ensure the availability of medicines, including proactive management of stockouts.
• You will maintain close coordination with hospital pharmacies through regular exchange meetings.
• You will analyze and monitor both national and international procurement markets.
• You will identify and evaluate new suppliers and, when necessary, conduct discussions for supplier acquisition.
• You will further develop procurement processes and structures within the expanding business area.
• You will report directly to the Executive Management.
• A completed university degree in Pharmacy or a comparable business degree with knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector is required.
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in strategic procurement, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Strong strategic and entrepreneurial mindset.
• A high level of personal responsibility and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work.
• Proficient negotiation skills, assertiveness, and a professional demeanor are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team orientation.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with AMOR and SAP BW is considered an advantage.
• Good command of English; knowledge of additional foreign languages is a plus.
• Maximum flexibility: fully remote work is possible; team meetings are held approximately once a month in Bad Oldesloe or Frankfurt.
