Head of Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Spearhead and advance the security roadmap for RevenueCat.

• Set priorities across infrastructure, application, and internal security realms.

• Collaborate with engineering leaders on architectural and security-related decisions.

• Foster trust internally as the go-to security leader that engineers prefer to engage with.

• Implement significant enhancements to the overall security stance of the organization.

• Enhance detection, prevention, and response capabilities.

• Raise security awareness and educate employees throughout the company.

• Outline the future scaling strategy for the security organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Highly technical security leader with experience in modern engineering organizations.

• Profound knowledge of both infrastructure and application security.

• Background dealing with actual security incidents.

• Ability to operate with a strong sense of ownership and navigate ambiguity.

• Skill in transitioning between technical specifics, strategic planning, customer interactions, and incident response.

• Well-formed opinions on supply chain security, secure software development, AI-assisted engineering workflows, infrastructure hardening, identity and access management, incident response, and balancing security with engineering speed.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Familiarity with AWS, distributed systems, developer tools, fintech, mobile applications, or payment systems is a significant advantage.
