Head of Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Define and lead Morpho's security strategy throughout the organization.

• Build and manage the security team, focusing on hiring, growth, and development.

• Maintain a hands-on approach by executing critical security tasks personally.

• Establish the governance framework: a cohesive security architecture.

• Take ownership of incident response from start to finish.

• Develop and manage a counterparty security program for curators and partners.

• Oversee Morpho's certification strategy (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).

• Represent Morpho's security posture both internally and externally.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Protocol, and Integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in security, with several years spent building or leading a security function, preferably in a crypto/web3, fintech, or financial-services environment where security is vital to the business.

• Strong understanding of the crypto/web3 threat landscape.

• Demonstrated experience in building and expanding a security team from a small starting point, with expertise in recruiting for security operations and application/infrastructure security.

• Extensive hands-on technical knowledge in cloud, infrastructure, CI/CD, supply-chain, identity, and application security – you actively engage in the work rather than just directing it.

• Managed incident response comprehensively, including incident command and external communications.

• Guided an organization through certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent).

• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to motivate action through both hard and soft influence, including achieving results through teams you do not directly manage.

• Exceptional organizational skills and effective communication – credible with executives and external audiences, from fintechs to Fortune 500 companies.
