Head of Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete architecture, practical development, and continuous improvement of essential platform capabilities.

• Collaborate with and support the Data Platform team on applications related to data domains and AI that they manage.

• Manage and enhance the platform’s CI/CD infrastructure, including pipelines and deployment tools.

• Build and nurture robust cross-functional partnerships with technology teams to ensure alignment of platform strategy.

• Propel platform modernization while ensuring security, compliance, auditability, and resilience are maintained.

• Establish best engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and governance for the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in platform engineering, enterprise architecture, or technical leadership positions.

• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture and its integrations.

• Strong experience in developing orchestration engines, workflow applications, integration platforms, event-driven architectures, web applications, and real-time data platforms.

• Practical experience with modern data and AI platforms (such as Snowflake, Cortex AI, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks is highly regarded).

• Proven track record with Vibe and Spec-driven development methodologies.

• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, multi-year platform modernization initiatives, with direct hands-on involvement in agile, cross-functional teams.

• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence across various technical teams (including Data Platform, Data Science & AI, Salesforce, Infrastructure, etc.).

• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence both technology and business teams.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
