Head of Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance merchant accounts along with payment processors.

• Increase payment acceptance and approval rates.

• Collaborate with payment orchestration and routing strategies.

• Track and minimize chargebacks, disputes, and payment-related risks.

• Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance payment operations — minimizing manual tasks and maximizing impact without expanding the team.

• Work together with internal teams when billing complications affect funnel performance.

• Evaluate payment performance and refine recurring billing processes.

• Foster robust relationships with payment service providers (PSPs) and acquirers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in payments and payment operations.

• Significant hands-on expertise in:

• Payment orchestration.

• PSP management.

• Merchant account management.

• Approval and acceptance optimization.

• Recurring billing and subscription payments.

• Chargebacks and risk management.

• In-depth understanding of the US billing and acquiring ecosystem.

• Familiarity with contemporary payment platforms like Stripe, Solidgate, or comparable solutions.
