This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Overseeing a junior team member and serving as a senior representative for the legal team.
• Creating, reviewing, and negotiating various types of commercial contracts – both straightforward and complex – including customer agreements, vendor contracts, reseller agreements, data licenses, and NDAs.
• Assisting with sales initiatives, which includes examining proposals, offering RFP support, and reviewing contract revisions.
• Providing guidance on new laws and regulations (including data privacy), formulating internal policy documentation and processes, as well as legal templates and online terms.
• Aiding internal projects such as the integration of new businesses acquired through M&A, offering advice on new product launches, and enhancing information security measures.
• Promoting the adoption of innovative technologies, automated working methods, and enhanced processes within the legal team.
• Serving as a primary contact for business teams including HR, group IT, marketing, sales, product, and technology, taking the lead on specific product and legal matters.
• A valid UK practising certificate.
• Training in private practice at a reputable law firm.
• Over 15 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• More than 5 years of in-house experience, preferably within a growth-oriented SaaS, data, or technology company.
• A collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to the success of colleagues.
• A robust background in commercial contracts, with significant experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements, particularly in the context of software-as-a-service and data licenses.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations.
• A genuine passion for technology and a motivation to embrace new tools and methodologies.
