Head of Legal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and partnership agreements.

• Provide legal guidance on traditional and decentralized governance frameworks related to the Golem Foundation and Octant.

• Advise on regulatory and compliance matters across various jurisdictions.

• Evaluate the legal ramifications of new product, technical, and business initiatives, particularly those with cross-border elements.

• Collaborate closely with business and product teams, as well as project leadership, to address challenges they may encounter.

• Stay informed about relevant advancements in crypto regulation, DAOs, and digital asset law.

• Ensure that legal frameworks promote public goods funding, open-source contributions, and principles of decentralization.

• Oversee relationships with external legal counsel in multiple countries.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience, ideally in Web3, fintech, or technology startups.

• Proficiency in international corporate law and regulations concerning digital assets.

• Understanding of DAO governance frameworks and decentralized legal systems.

• Experience in providing legal counsel on digital products.

• Proven track record of negotiating complex contracts.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Capability to operate independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

• A proactive mindset and a problem-solving orientation.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• JD or equivalent legal degree and bar admission in at least one jurisdiction.
