Head of HR Operations – Systems

Posted 9 hours ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• This position will begin with one direct report, who is our recruiting operations lead.

• You will be tasked with overseeing all HR Systems, determining our internal and external needs for our distinctive People tech stack.

• Construct a comprehensive array of reports and dashboards that leverage Ashby’s analytical capabilities and those of other tools to their fullest potential.

• Continuous improvement is essential; we aim to challenge the status quo and publicly experiment with what’s achievable.

• Develop and implement performance review processes and create frameworks for assessing and nurturing talent.

• Spearhead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, enhancing our knowledge base, learning & development programs, and other people-centric initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Team to translate your insights into actionable feedback. To amplify your efforts, we will focus on resolving pain points and enhancing your influence through documentation; you will contribute as the Voice of the Customer with an educational perspective.

• Participate in the early deployment and testing of features, ensuring that all new functionalities are effectively utilized internally post-release.

• Ensure that HR policies and practices adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate employee records and documentation. Assist with audits and reporting requirements, and contribute to training and communication to keep the organization aligned with legal and regulatory standards.

• Your mission will be to maximize the impact of potential efficiency gains.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have direct experience with our product and are enthusiastic about the benefits it provides to Talent Acquisition teams, as well as curious about the potential expansion of our People tech stack. Previous experience with Ashby is beneficial but not mandatory.

• You are passionate about exceptional processes, technology, and people.

• You possess outstanding communication skills – we prioritize clear and concise dialogue.

• You recognize various stakeholders and their motivations (what is important to a Head of Department may differ from what matters to an individual contributor; you can support each in achieving their objectives).

• You are prepared to drive solutions ranging from straightforward (e.g., addressing an onboarding issue) to complex (e.g., integrating diverse systems).

• You uphold high standards and are comfortable holding others accountable while establishing clear expectations, especially when it comes to achieving alignment among stakeholders.

• You exhibit a high level of empathy towards our employees – their challenges are our challenges.

• You can provide feedback in a manner that keeps internal teams focused on the customer experience, which in turn influences our product roadmap, as you are also a customer.

• You are eager to shape our HR Operations and systems team as the inaugural leader, and by this point in the job description, you already have a vision of what you intend to achieve.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive salary and equity.

• A 10-year exercise window for stock options, allowing you to purchase when financially comfortable, without feeling pressured upon leaving Ashby.

• Unlimited PTO with a recommendation of four weeks per year. Expect “Vacation?” to be a recurring topic in our one-on-one meetings until you start taking time off 😅.

• Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US, with plans to extend this benefit to employees in other countries as the need arises.

• A generous budget for equipment, software, and office furniture to ensure you have what you need to be happy and productive!

• A $100/month education budget, with manager approval for more expensive items such as conferences.

• If you’re in the US, you’ll receive excellent health insurance for you and your dependents, with all premiums covered by us.
