Head of Growth Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement strategies across all facets of growth marketing including paid media, demand generation, marketing technology, customer lifecycle management, website optimization, and SEO/GEO.

• Consider all channels and the entire marketing funnel; our efforts extend beyond customer acquisition as we aim to engage and monetize users, especially with our continuous product launches.

• Recruit, manage, and nurture a team of marketing professionals and external agencies, taking over a skilled group of 11 individuals.

• Foster a team culture that prioritizes relentless execution, experimentation, and curiosity, encouraging everything from innovative ad creatives to exploring new technologies.

• Maintain a strong data-driven approach, excelling in defining, establishing, and reporting on comprehensive funnel KPIs in collaboration with the data science team.

• Build robust relationships with sales, partnerships, and product engineering teams to align on growth strategies across the organization.

• Serve as a key voice in marketing leadership, balancing the achievement of growth objectives with brand integrity and a customer-first philosophy.

• Make informed, principled decisions and guide a cross-functional team to implement strategies effectively.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in growth marketing, including at least 5 years dedicated to hiring and developing talent.

• Experience in Product-Led Growth (PLG): You have worked in startups of Mercury’s size or larger, with a focus on high-volume PLG or self-service acquisition; bonus points for experience in demand generation or sales-led acquisition.

• Comprehensive knowledge across all growth marketing domains, with significant expertise in paid advertising, SEO, and martech.

• Proficient in a full range of marketing tools: You know the tools to leverage and how to utilize them effectively—or you can quickly adapt. You are eager to experiment with new tools to enhance team capabilities. Our current tools include CustomerIO, Salesforce, Dato (CMS), Rockerbox (MTA), and Segment.

• A mindset geared towards experimentation. You appreciate the value of testing and scaling successful initiatives, and you can prioritize experiments and expedite their implementation.
