This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Formulate and execute a Global Partnerships Strategy aimed at securing increased, stable, and flexible funding from non-traditional donors in line with HALO's priorities.
• Take direct responsibility for achieving budgeted income targets for a specified portfolio of donors.
• Cultivate and sustain high-level, long-term relationships with bilateral and multilateral partners, embassies, and essential government stakeholders to further funding objectives.
• Guide a team through project design negotiations with institutional donors, the drafting of proposals, and the finalization of partnership agreements, ensuring adherence to both donor and HALO regulations.
• Supervise the creation of high-quality proposals, donor reports, and financial reports that highlight the impact of HALO's initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with HALO Regional and Deputy Regional Directors, as well as key Program Managers and technical experts, to shape funding opportunities and improve strategic collaboration.
• Represent HALO at a senior level, engaging with key donors and participating in external speaking engagements and conferences within the Humanitarian Mine Action sector.
• Lead and mentor a team of partnership specialists, promoting a collaborative and results-driven culture.
• Over 10 years of experience in institutional fundraising, partnership development, or resource mobilization, ideally within the humanitarian sector (UN agencies, international NGOs, or Red Cross movement).
• A proven history of securing funds from major institutional donors such as ECHO, BHA/USAID, FCDO, or equivalent government donors.
• Demonstrated capability to lead teams and establish high-level relationships with government officials and corporate partners.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, especially when dealing with high-level individuals in a multinational context.
• Strong analytical abilities, proficiency in databases, experience in target setting and monitoring, and advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong diplomatic aptitude, awareness of political issues, and a keen interest in international affairs.
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
• Experience in an international setting with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and a sensitivity to cultural differences.
• Energetic, proactive, and adept at fostering a positive team environment.
• Excellent people management skills, particularly in leading a diverse team.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Willingness and capacity to travel internationally.
