Head of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Pre-Sales & Discovery: Manage the complete pre-sales process, encompassing technical audits, discovery sessions, and requirements collection.

• Solution Design: Develop high-level architectures and solution blueprints; serve as both Business Analyst and Technical Architect throughout sales cycles.

• Proposal Leadership: Create detailed technical specifications and proposals that connect technical solutions with business objectives.

• Strategic Growth: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to establish new business models; support the CTO in enhancing tech capabilities and overall strategy.

• Technical Oversight: Oversee Solution Architects and Tech Leads to ensure exceptional delivery for both new and existing accounts.

• Innovation: Develop AI/ML-driven solutions and assess new technologies to recommend adoption based on business implications and security standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: Over 5 years in solution architecture, tech/team leadership, or competency management roles.

• Engineering: Proficient background in software development with practical coding experience (Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, C#, Go, or similar).

• Architecture: Expertise in Microservices, DDD, CQRS, messaging, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• AI/ML: Strong grasp of AI/ML technologies and their relevant business applications.

• Security: Familiarity with security best practices and scalability considerations for enterprise systems.

• Professional Skills:

• Client Engagement: Demonstrated success in managing the entire pre-sales cycle and leading execution for intricate projects/accounts.

• Strategic Approach: Capability to guide discussions using a "working backwards" methodology from business requirements to technical solutions.

• Soft Skills: Proficient in English at a C1 level; excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Mindset: Practical approach to problem-solving without unnecessary complexity; comfortable with ambiguity and proactive ownership.

• Pluses:

• Experience as a Technical Product Manager; cloud certifications (AWS SA); knowledge of frontend technologies (React, Angular, Vue.js).
