Head of Developer Relations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• You will serve as the public representative and technical spokesperson for Tenki, influencing how developers perceive and articulate AI-native software development.

• This role transcends traditional content creation; we seek a developer who excels in communication.

• We are looking for someone who has deployed real production code, can engage effectively in technical discussions, and can convert that experience into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with engineers.

• Your contributions will play a crucial role in defining how Tenki transforms the technical landscape.

• We prioritize hiring for impact, which is driven by passion combined with reach. Up to 2 years of relevant experience is sufficient, provided that your work has significantly influenced engineers and altered their perspectives. We want to see posts that sparked discussions, repositories that were forked, and threads that were cited. Show us proof of your impactful work.

• We seek authenticity over influencer-style marketing. Bring the "let me demonstrate the actual code" vibe.

• You have experience shipping real production code and can confidently discuss topics such as model latency, static analysis, or distributed systems without pretense.

• You possess the ability to distill complex technical concepts into engaging narratives that engineers will read to completion. You understand the distinction between writing for developers and writing at them.

• You hold strong opinions about the future of AI coding agents and developer tools, and you are prepared to defend your views when challenged by knowledgeable peers.

• You take initiative and do not wait for permission. You create the post, schedule the podcast, submit the PR on documentation, and take action.

• You can provide direction in an early-stage environment where priorities are fluid and clarity must be actively established.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to influence onboarding, documentation, and the initial user experience for new users.

• Participate in forums where developers actively engage: GitHub discussions, technical Discord channels, informal networking at conferences, and late-night debugging sessions, rather than vendor booths or pay-to-play panels.

• Relay product feedback back to the team emphatically. You will be the team member closest to understanding how developers utilize what we release, and that insight is essential for shaping our roadmap.
