This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Cultivate relationships with prospective and existing clients and/or industry organizations to enhance the financial planning department.
• Collaborate closely with various teams and stakeholders to implement the new qualification within the Department, taking full ownership of its development.
• Partner with other stakeholders and take charge of the creation and authorship of educational materials, including all subject-specific content and information added to the virtual learning environment (VLE).
• Execute the assessment policies and procedures of Milpark in accordance with HEQC standards for assigned programs and subjects.
• Deliver lectures and conduct assessments for assigned programs in your area of expertise.
• Oversee the assessment drafting process for designated subjects across programs, ensuring timelines are met.
• Perform internal moderation on assigned subjects.
• Approve all assessments for the designated subject.
• Support the development of academic policies pertaining to faculty processes.
• Gather feedback from the industry to foster innovation and ensure the relevance of teaching materials.
• Monitor and manage student progression in assigned programs, in collaboration with Program Managers (PMs).
• Take ownership of the coherence and relevance of the designated programs and areas.
• Manage all assigned programs with a focus on the quality of course content, teaching, and student support.
• Recruit academic staff for the designated areas.
• Oversee the performance of teaching staff to ensure part-time lecturers adhere to Milpark's standards.
• A Master's Degree (NQF 9) in a Risk or Insurance-related field is preferred, with a minimum of an NQF 8 industry-related qualification.
• Holder of a designation related to the Risk and/or Insurance industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in the Risk and/or Insurance Industry is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the academic field.
• Management experience is preferred.
