Head of Data Intelligence Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the roadmap for the Data Intelligence Platform, collaborating closely with the Actian CPO to advance from conventional metadata management to AI-driven Data Products and Agentic Governance.

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 5–8 Product Managers across Europe and the US, promoting a culture of technical excellence and swift delivery.

• Supervise the creation of AI Agents that engage with data products, facilitating conversational exploration and proactive data governance for Chief Data Officers (CDOs).

• Manage relationships with industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester), aiming to establish Actian as a frontrunner in the Data Management and Governance sectors.

• Collaborate closely with the SVP of Product Engineering, possessing the ability to "speak engineer" and comprehend AI-driven development processes and cloud-native architecture.

• Represent the product to Chief Data Officers and Data Governance leaders, assisting them in modernizing their data infrastructures and transitioning from legacy systems to a cohesive AI-driven platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Product Management, including a minimum of 4 years in a leadership position overseeing other Product Managers.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of the Modern Data Stack (Data Catalog, Governance, Data Mesh, or Data Quality).

• You possess a "technically dangerous" mindset, with a solid understanding of AI/ML, LLMs, and the capabilities of AI agents in automating metadata extraction and user interaction.

• Proven experience navigating the fast-paced environment of a startup (such as Zeenea) while managing the complex stakeholders of a large corporate organization (like Actian/HCL).

• A demonstrated history of transforming high-level visions from a CPO/CPTO into actionable, technical milestones for engineering teams.

• Experience in managing distributed teams across various time zones (from the US West Coast to Central Europe) while accommodating cultural differences.

• Excellent command of the English language, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into compelling value propositions for the C-suite.
