Head of Data Enablement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise data management strategy that aligns with AI and innovation initiatives.

• Create foundational data architecture, which includes cloud data platforms, data warehouses or lakehouses, and integration layers.

• Build and expand the enterprise data function by recruiting and nurturing data architects, engineers, analysts, and stewards.

• Establish and operationalize frameworks for data governance, quality, privacy, security, and compliance.

• Integrate data from ERP, CRM, MES, WMS, and other systems into a cohesive and reliable analytics platform.

• Assess and adopt modern data platforms and tools such as cloud infrastructure, integration tools, and data management systems.

• Collaborate with business and technology teams to convert data into actionable insights and operational value.

• Ensure data is structured and available to support AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics applications.

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate data quality, adoption, and the business impact of data initiatives.

• Advocate for data literacy and cultivate a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

• Develop strategies for disaster recovery, business continuity, and data protection.

• Lead and encourage healthy and safe work practices in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in data management, architecture, or analytics, including leadership roles.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience evolving from hands-on data architecture to enterprise-level data leadership.

• Experience in building or transforming a data organization, which includes hiring and establishing operational models.

• Strong background in manufacturing, industrial, or asset-heavy sectors; experience in the steel industry is preferred.

• Practical experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.

• Experience in integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, MES, and WMS into analytics platforms.

• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management practices.

• Proficient in SQL, Python, and contemporary data engineering tools.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Capability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Must be able to maintain consistent, full-time onsite attendance.
