• Take charge of the content strategy, determining what we publish, where it appears, in what language, for which audience, and the rationale behind it.
• Ensure each piece of content is effective and impactful.
• Manage the blog at scale, including the editorial calendar, briefs, production, and distribution.
• Create newsletters that engage recipients and encourage opens.
• Oversee product marketing by transforming features into compelling narratives.
• Manage social media by selecting the channels that are most relevant for our target markets.
• Handle public relations and external communications, which include pitches, press lists, narrative development, and crisis management as necessary.
• Develop the link-building strategy encompassing earned, partnered, and programmatic links.
• Create playbooks and encode them as Claude skills for the team and agents to utilize.
• Provide guidance, review, and iterate; while agents manage production, you focus on strategic thinking.
• Lead the team by setting objectives, raising standards, removing obstacles, and collaborating on project delivery.
• Engage with customers directly, analyze data personally, and share insights gained from these interactions.
• Proven content experience, having developed and managed content initiatives that drove significant metrics such as traffic, leads, brand search, and share of voice in a multi-country, multi-language environment.
• Versatility across various content types, including blogs, newsletters, social media, PR, product marketing, and linking; while you need not excel in all, you should have substantial ownership in several and strong views on the others.
• Strong editorial judgment, able to distinguish between a compelling headline and a clever one.
• Instinct for SEO, understanding how content achieves rankings, garners links, and converts effectively.
• Proficiency in AI, with Claude being an integral part of your daily workflow in both Cowork and Code.
• Data-driven mindset; you base decisions on metrics, eliminate ineffective strategies, and avoid shipping content without measurable accountability.
• Hands-on approach, involved in writing briefs, editing drafts, selecting topics, and pitching journalists.
• Attention to detail that matters in content crafting.
• Good judgment, capable of making decisions with incomplete information.
• A sense of ownership, managing projects from conception to outcome without handovers.
• Experience in a small team, being comfortable with full-stack responsibilities.
• Leadership skills, able to manage one to two individuals effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and simplify complex ideas.
