This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage the entity's FCRA compliance program from the ground up, encompassing policies, procedures, training, monitoring, and routine testing.
• Oversee the complete consumer relations process: from dispute intake and reinvestigation within the required timeline to file disclosures, identity theft blocks, and fraud alerts.
• Create and implement permissible purpose controls, which include user onboarding, certification, and recertification processes.
• Set up reasonable procedures to ensure maximum possible accuracy and establish the monitoring necessary to validate their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to define the infrastructure for disputes and disclosures, transitioning from manual processes to automated tools as volume increases.
• Act as the compliance liaison for client third-party risk assessments, and assist with regulatory, state attorney general, and litigation issues in partnership with the Legal team.
• Manage consumer complaint resolution through the CFPB portal and state channels, integrating insights back into procedures and product enhancements.
• A minimum of 7 years in consumer financial services compliance, with direct FCRA experience at a consumer reporting agency.
• Proven track record of building a compliance program from the ground up or significantly overhauling an existing one, rather than merely managing an inherited program.
• Hands-on experience in operating a dispute and reinvestigation function, including turnaround management and interaction with furnishers.
• Excellent writing skills, capable of producing standalone policies, procedures, and client diligence responses without extensive legal revisions.
• Comfortable working independently in an early-stage environment, including performing operational tasks personally before a team or tools are in place.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must reside in the United States.
• Preferred qualifications include JD, CRCM, CIPP-US, or CAMS certifications.
• Preferred experience at a nationwide specialty CRA.
• Preferred familiarity with Metro 2 and e-OSCAR.
• Preferred exposure to CFPB examinations, state AG inquiries, or FCRA-related litigation.
• Preferred background in identity, fraud, or alternative data sectors.
• Employer-sponsored group health insurance for you and your dependents.
• 401(k) plan with employer matching (or equivalent for roles outside the US).
• Flexible paid time off policy.
• Regular company-wide in-person events.
• Home office stipend provided.
• Equity opportunities available.
