Head of Clinical Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Direct the formulation and implementation of CSD’s clinical research strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and opportunities to promote evidence-based practices.

• Spearhead grant strategies, including the development and submission of proposals for federal, foundation, and industry funding opportunities, which encompass letters of intent, comprehensive proposals, biosketches, budgets, and supplementary documentation.

• Act as the organizational research lead for CSD, offering scientific guidance for funded research initiatives and collaborating with academic co-investigators and external research partners.

• Identify and seek out external funding opportunities and strategic partnerships that support CSD’s clinical research objectives.

• Oversee the creation and submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals.

• Represent CSD’s research program at national conferences, professional associations, and industry forums.

• Transform research findings into actionable insights and materials for clinical teams, payers, referral partners, executive leadership, and other stakeholders.

• Share research findings throughout CSD to aid the integration of evidence-based practices into clinical programs, protocols, and service delivery.

• Chair CSD’s Clinical Research Steering Committee and set research governance standards across clinical domains.

• Supervise research governance policies, standard operating procedures, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Facilitate the integration of research initiatives and findings into clinical operations and the multi-site provider network.

• Mentor clinicians and research personnel, fostering a culture of scientific inquiry, innovation, and evidence-based practices.

• Sustain and enhance collaborations with universities, healthcare entities, and community organizations, including research partnerships and internship programs.

• Represent CSD in national professional organizations and initiatives that focus on autism services, applied behavior analysis, and clinical research.

• Stay informed on emerging research, clinical trends, funding prospects, and innovations associated with autism services, ABA, telehealth, and technology-enabled care.

• Undertake additional responsibilities and strategic initiatives as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or equivalent) in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related discipline.

• BCBA-D certification, or BCBA certification along with proven doctoral-level research leadership experience.

• Experience in extramural grant development and management, including federal, foundation, or industry funding opportunities.

• A demonstrated history of peer-reviewed publications in behavior analysis, autism services, or related clinical research fields.

• Proven experience in integrating research into clinical operations and service delivery.

• Familiarity with both single-subject and group experimental research designs.

• Comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices and clinical research methodologies.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to clinical, academic, executive, and external audiences.

• Established ability to cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and external partners.

• Strong strategic thinking, project management, and leadership capabilities.

• Capability to translate complex research findings into practical insights for clinical and operational stakeholders.

• Ability to uphold scientific rigor while promoting innovation and scalable research initiatives across a multi-site organization.
