This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Personally assess, prototype, and drive decisions regarding the AI tools and platforms we implement throughout the organization. This entails hands-on testing of agents, models, and orchestration layers.
• Develop internal tools, dashboards, prototypes, and reference implementations that exemplify effective AI adoption in practice, rather than merely commissioning them.
• Establish and execute the AI adoption strategy across the organization, including the metrics, milestones, and reporting cadence utilized by the executive team and board to monitor progress.
• Formalize and manage the AI Enablement Hub as a cross-functional capability, including the operating model, intake, prioritization, decision rights, and the cadences that ensure its effective operation.
• Build and lead a distributed network of Champions embedded within business units. The Hub will coordinate while Champions will deliver solutions within their respective functions, without integrating these roles into a centralized team.
• Chair the AI Steering Committee and serve as the primary coordination point among CPTO, CDAO, CHRO, Legal, Risk, Communications, and leaders from various business units.
• Define and implement the JD Power AI governance framework, including policies, guardrails, and responsible-AI guidelines, crafted by someone experienced in working with the technology.
• Collaborate with HR on AI skills development, role evolution, and the workforce implications stemming from AI productivity enhancements.
• Develop business cases for AI investments and take ownership of value delivery across the portfolio.
• Clearly communicate the AI strategy to both internal and external audiences, including the board and our PE owner, using straightforward business language.
• Preparedness for an individual contributor role. This position is an individual contributor seat with executive sponsorship and an engaged Champions network across the business. You should be motivated by personally building and delivering results rather than waiting to delegate tasks.
• Workforce empowerment and cultural transformation. Proven experience in facilitating the adoption of new technology or innovative ways of working among thousands of individuals, particularly in environments where initial demand was lacking. This outcome will be our measure of success.
• Governance, responsible AI, and enterprise data. Familiarity with responsible-AI practices, data classification, and the flow of regulated data through AI systems, including the delineation of what can be shared with hosted models, what remains in private inference, and what necessitates Legal review. You should be capable of drafting a functional policy rather than just commissioning one.
• Enterprise-level influence and cross-functional collaboration. Ability to operate across both business and technical domains without direct authority, including establishing credibility with senior engineering leaders. You must be capable of delivering difficult messages to executives and guiding resistant business units.
• A relevant degree is advantageous but not mandatory. Equivalent experience will be considered equally. Industry background is flexible; experience in financial services, professional services, B2B data, and technology is all relevant. The key factor is that you have performed this work in an environment with seasoned engineering practices and a thoughtful executive team.
• Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
• Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
• Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
• Flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance.
• Collaborative and innovative work environment.
