AI Product Builder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Take charge of AI-driven workflows and enhancements within designated segments of the product suite.

• Recognize obstacles that clients and internal teams encounter while utilizing the product, and prioritize what should be addressed first.

• Develop and refine AI-powered automations, tools, checks, and workflows that enhance delivery speed and quality.

• Convert actual client and usage challenges into tangible product improvements, rather than mere notes, presentations, or tickets.

• Leverage AI and internal tools to analyze product behavior, examine structured data, troubleshoot issues, and test new concepts.

• Collaborate directly with engineers and product team members to implement beneficial changes.

• Interact with clients as necessary to grasp the core issue and confirm the effectiveness of a solution.

• Document your creations and insights to ensure they can be reused, enhanced, and trusted by others.

• Demonstrable experience in building, automating, enhancing, or managing something substantial, even if it was rudimentary.

• High agency: you identify weaknesses, ambiguities, or gaps, formulate a perspective, and drive progress without waiting for complete packages.

• Authentic fluency in AI that goes beyond superficial understanding.

• Sufficient product judgment to discern what is significant, balance user requirements with technical limitations, and prevent over-engineering.

• Ownership of outcomes: you care about whether the solution was effective in practice, not just that your portion was completed.

• A technical mindset: you seek to comprehend tools, data, permissions, dependencies, and potential failure modes instead of remaining on the surface.

• Comfort in owning a problem from start to finish: identifying the issue, defining it, prototyping a solution, validating it, and collaborating with others to deliver it.

• Clear written communication skills to make your work inspectable, reusable, and accessible for others to adopt.

• Standards: you can recognize when something is lacking, fragile, poorly thought-out, or insufficient.
