This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +7 more locations.
β’ Establish the strategic vision for the investment-practice and standards capability of the Research & Policy Center.
β’ Oversee the development of CFA Institute's professional standards framework, which includes ethical guidelines, professional conduct policies, voluntary standards like GIPS, case studies, and interpretation systems.
β’ Keep abreast of evolving practices and decide when to revise content, develop guidance or case studies, or implement changes at the standards level.
β’ Identify the needs, workflows, decision-making contexts, constraints, and adoption challenges of practitioner audiences.
β’ Create guidance, tools, case studies, and engagement strategies that effectively translate research and insights into practical applications.
β’ Develop strategies for practitioner engagement and activation throughout the Research & Policy Center.
β’ Link various audiences, themes, resources, consultations, roundtables, meetings, and feedback channels.
β’ Collaborate across the Research & Policy Center and the broader organization to produce materials aimed at practitioners and the enterprise.
β’ Empower downstream partners and teams to utilize resources effectively and consistently.
β’ Engage with senior leadership and external stakeholders, simplifying complex standards and practice matters into actionable insights.
β’ Lead, mentor, and cultivate a large, senior, multidisciplinary team.
β’ Prioritize tasks, allocate resources, enhance capabilities, and ensure that specialist expertise yields clear, timely, and applicable results.
β’ Extensive experience in leading and nurturing teams, which includes setting direction, delegating tasks, and driving accountability.
β’ Proven success in delivering tangible outputs and assets rather than merely formulating strategies or recommendations.
β’ Significant background in financial services, a professional organization, or a similar entity, along with a comprehensive understanding of the interconnected aspects of the investment industry.
β’ Considerable experience in translating intricate research, standards, or technical information into practical guidance, tools, or materials tailored to specific audiences.
β’ Experience in overseeing professional standards, ethical frameworks, voluntary codes, practitioner guidance, or similar regulated professional resources.
β’ Substantial experience in designing or facilitating practitioner engagement initiatives, such as roundtables, consultations, or advisory committees.
β’ Strong grasp of investment practices, institutional decision-making, fiduciary responsibilities, and professional standards.
β’ Excellent strategic and operational judgment.
β’ Strong skills in stakeholder management and interpersonal interactions.
β’ Ability to maintain a balance between thoroughness and efficiency.
β’ A CFA charter or similar credential is advantageous, though not mandatory.
β’ Experience in a go-to-market or sales-enablement role is a plus.
