β’ Design, integrate, test, and deliver flight control systems or mission-critical onboard software for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
β’ Collaborate within a team to develop, modify, and fine-tune guidance and control systems for fixed-wing aircraft.
β’ Work alongside a team to create and enhance navigation systems utilizing sensor fusion from a 6-DOF IMU, magnetometer, GNSS, pressure, and ranging sensors.
β’ Participate in a team effort to design and develop flight or mission-critical onboard software for unmanned systems.
β’ Engage with a multi-disciplinary software team on extensive, multi-language projects.
β’ Take part in code reviews, flight testing, and customer presentations.
β’ Travel locally, interstate, and internationally to support field testing and customer demonstrations.
β’ A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Controls Engineering, or a related field, combined with at least 12 years of experience in developing MATLAB/Simulink control systems.
β’ A Master of Science in Controls or Aerospace Engineering along with 2 years of relevant experience.
β’ U.S. Citizenship and the capability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
β’ Experience in developing physics-based 6 DOF simulations and motion platforms.
β’ Proficient in development with Gazebo or similar simulation tools, MATLAB/Simulink, C, C++, and Python.
β’ Experience in creating scripts to execute batch processes.
β’ Background in data post-processing from simulations or flight tests, along with report summary writing.
β’ Proven experience in developing guidance and autonomy algorithms; experience in denied environments is preferred.
