• Oversee the Quality segment of GSI NAM from inquiry through order, order to remittance, which includes project closeout and warranty management.
• Identify, develop, and provide documented quality deliverables to both customers and suppliers for the project.
• Ensure that GSI NAM's Quality program is comprehensively represented in all offerings.
• Support the project by conducting inspections and facilitating factory acceptance testing.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to meet equipment and construction requirements.
• Ensure that deliverables related to equipment and site work are clearly identified and communicated to suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop and fulfill quality requirements while addressing any arising issues.
• Promote a culture focused on quality and establish as well as execute objectives for oneself and others.
• Ensure adherence to all quality requirements as per the Project Management process and GEV standards.
• Encourage Quality Assurance and Quality Control in all areas of execution.
• Guarantee that all contractual commitments to the customer are met.
• Lead quality-related activities throughout the ITO and OTR phases of the project.
• Create, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to coordinate quality activities among stakeholders.
• Oversee and support FATs, inspections, customer visits, supplier surveillance, and project site visits.
• Monitor project quality KPIs, manage deviations, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred; however, degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields will also be considered.
• 5–10+ years of experience in project quality, quality engineering, or quality management, specifically in high-voltage substations, transmission & distribution, EPC, or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in developing and executing Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, as well as conducting FAT/SAT activities and overseeing supplier quality and field construction quality programs.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant standards and requirements, including IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NEMA, and ISO 9001.
• Experience in managing non-conformances, CAPA, root cause analysis, audits, customer complaints, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Technical knowledge of equipment such as transformers, switchgear, control panels, prefabricated/control buildings, cabling, welding, and fabrication.
• Familiarity with quality tools and systems, including dashboards, NCR/CAPA systems, inspection and test planning, and advanced problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, SAP, document control systems, or similar tools.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
