This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Provide facilitation support to the Hanford Advisory Board (HAB) and the Department of Energy.
• Establish and disseminate all HAB meeting schedules, agendas, and work plans.
• Collaborate with agency representatives to formulate committee and Board meeting agendas.
• Maintain ongoing communication with agency representatives and HAB leadership.
• Create and distribute the HAB Annual Report as requested by the DOE.
• Assist with Ecology’s Annual HAB/Public Involvement Survey.
• Maintain a HAB library in accordance with FACA guidelines.
• Monitor and assist in implementing administrative procedures developed by the Board.
• Consecutive employment in a role with similar responsibilities within the last five (5) years.
• Proficiency in using a computer for email communication.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Four years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience in managing diverse interests and contentious issues.
• Proven experience in facilitating groups of varied stakeholders to achieve consensus decisions.
• Certified Professional Facilitator (preferred).
• Experience in facilitating interactions among tribal, state, and federal stakeholders (preferred).
• Knowledge of environmental law, including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) (preferred).
• Understanding of tri-party agreements and relevant treaties.
• Ability to identify any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any contractors associated with the Hanford Site.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
