This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Guides and mentors veterinary teams across various VCA hospitals.
• Ensures superior medical quality, patient safety, and outstanding client service.
• Maintains medical standards that surpass industry benchmarks.
• Advocates for evidence-based methodologies, integrating medical innovations.
• Cultivates an environment of ongoing learning and professional growth.
• Promotes patient safety, medical excellence, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborates with VCA Medical Affairs, Group Patient Care Directors, and operational leadership.
• Makes informed decisions that balance medical integrity with operational objectives.
• Enhances medical quality while supporting robust P&L results.
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Over 8 years of pertinent veterinary practice experience.
• More than 4 years of supervisory experience.
• Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in each state of the assigned hospitals.
• Specialty Board Certification in relevant fields.
• Proficient in electronic medical records and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Capability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Involvement in national or state veterinary associations.
• Engagement with veterinary practice organizations such as AAHA, NAVAS, and VECCS.
• Willingness to travel to VCA hospitals, MVH hubs, Support Office, and additional locations as required, up to 75% of the time based on business needs.
