This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Responsible for building and leading a team dedicated to new business development, portfolio management, credit quality, and overall relationship management within their client portfolio, specifically targeting the Chicago, IL area.

• Ensures revenue generation by fostering commercial relationships with companies having revenues ranging from $30MM to $1B.

• Collaborates with regional leadership to develop a strategic plan for the Commercial Group and formulates action plans to achieve this strategy, which includes setting and monitoring individualized production and revenue goals for each team member as well as forecasting results for management based on current pipelines.

• Monitors and coaches team member performance, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of relationships, taking necessary actions to meet goals (including personally sourcing deals when required), and implementing corrective measures if goals are not being met, while leveraging expertise to cultivate an exceptional team.

• Capable of injecting the team's network of clients and centers of influence with new prospects at any time to broaden opportunities.

• Acts as an escalation point for all client relationships, addressing concerns and removing barriers to facilitate smooth and advantageous transactions.

• Personally manages client relationships as required or as deemed necessary.

• Aids the team in generating revenue, gathering deposits, and increasing fee production.

• Collaborates with product partners on cross-selling initiatives to enhance relationships and boost profitability.

• Ensures that the team proactively monitors credit quality within their portfolios through timely collection of financial statements, overseeing client compliance with ongoing reporting requirements, and properly analyzing financial data.

• Partners with the credit team to recommend and implement appropriate corrective actions as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

• Over 15 years of experience in commercial lending (in production or credit roles).

• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.

• Ability to stay updated on industry trends, as well as legislation and regulations that affect the business.

• Strong negotiation abilities.

• Proficient in financial analysis; credit analysis skills required.

• Excellent relationship management and business development/sales skills.

• Outstanding customer service and community relations skills.

• Committed to adhering to all regulatory and compliance issues related to the job and the team, understanding how these issues help the bank maintain its status as an independent institution.
