This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
β’ Lead the team in achieving excellence in customer service and claims management.
β’ Ensure the accuracy of benefits disbursed for disability claims based on deductible income sources (offsets) and other contractual terms specified in the certificates.
β’ Monitor, track, and analyze reports to ensure proper management of claims offsets.
β’ Create effective action plans that enhance both team and individual performance.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external customers.
β’ Provide ongoing support, relevant training, constructive feedback, coaching, and recognition to direct reports in an inclusive environment.
β’ Foster employee engagement and promote continuous process improvement to eliminate barriers and improve team efficiency.
β’ Ensure business continuity by identifying potential successors and emerging leaders for key leadership roles within your teams.
β’ Guarantee that the team adheres to their responsibilities regarding risk identification, assessment, monitoring, control, and escalation.
β’ A minimum of three years of experience in Group Insurance Operations or claims is required.
β’ A solid understanding of STD/Absence/Paid Leave claim management processes and offset management is necessary.
β’ Strong critical thinking, mathematical, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills are essential.
β’ Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
β’ Demonstrated strong customer service abilities.
β’ Previous experience in coaching, mentorship, or leadership is required.
β’ Ability to independently resolve problems.
β’ Proven commitment to continuous improvement.
β’ Capability to collaborate across different business areas.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective time management abilities, are required.
β’ Proficiency in Teams, MS Word, and Excel is necessary.
