This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Provide timely, high-quality financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders, including detailed client-specific reports across various jurisdictions.
• Take ownership of comprehensive financial oversight for global program performance, ensuring the utmost accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data across multiple entities.
• Lead, mentor, and enhance the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Global Payroll functions to ensure efficient and timely execution within the distributed team.
• Create clear roles, performance metrics, and accountability systems to foster ongoing operational improvements.
• Supervise extensive group tax compliance, managing international corporate tax and indirect tax (VAT) responsibilities across various operating entities.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with external tax advisors and oversee cash flow forecasting and global banking relationships to uphold strong financial discipline.
• Manage program-level contributions to budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining detailed forecasts that encompass international revenue streams, cost structures, and resource usage.
• Analyze variances, manage financial risks, and collaborate with the CFO to translate operational performance into strategic insights at the group level.
• Spearhead the ongoing transformation of the global finance function, its systems, and operational workflows to support a growing enterprise.
• Act as the functional system owner for core finance and program management platforms, promoting seamless integration across Finance, HR, and project delivery systems to ensure reliable, decision-ready information.
• A minimum of 7+ years of post-qualification experience focused on financial control, balance sheet management, and statutory reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in a multi-entity, international, or globally distributed environment, with direct involvement in complex group consolidations.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA), ACCA, or an equivalent registered professional qualification.
• Proven ability to navigate organizational risk factors, possessing expert technical knowledge in financial risk mitigation and commercial judgement.
• A practical, digital-first professional with the technical expertise to manage intricate details while leading an international team with clarity and empathy.
• Previous training or foundational experience from a Big 4 or recognized Mid-tier professional services firm is preferred.
• Established track record as a designated process owner advocating for digital-first automation or finance transformation projects.
• Proficiency in Advanced Cloud Accounting Ecosystems and workflow tools.
• Familiarity with Project Management & Professional Services Automation (PSA) platforms (like Project Works).
• Experience with Collaborative Digital Workspaces and team communication tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for effective financial modeling and data reconciliation.
