• Take ownership of the entire global IFRS accounting, tax, project costing, and management reporting cycle for a rapidly expanding technology services firm.
• Collaborate in the rollout, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of Dynamics 365 BC, ensuring that all finance-related modules are implemented, integrated, supported by appropriate documentation, and utilized according to best-practice standards by the internal team.
• Build and mentor a finance and accounting team of up to 5 individuals, working closely across departments such as Sales, Delivery, HR, and IT.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes in accordance with US GAAP.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, general ledger structure, and all essential financial controls.
• Oversee financial reporting, revenue recognition (IFRS 15), project costing, and calculations of work in progress (WIP).
• Manage consolidated group financial statements and reporting procedures.
• Handle daily bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and payment approvals.
• Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including aged receivables/payables and credit risk policies.
• Own the order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes, ensuring compliance and setup of sales/purchase journals (e.g., 1099).
• Oversee global payroll processing and journal integration, whether in-house or vendor-managed.
• Ensure compliance with statutory filings such as T4, W-2, 1099, etc.
• Collaborate with the Head of Legal and local providers on tax returns, VAT, sales tax, CFC reporting, and transfer pricing.
• Act as the functional lead for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and governance of financial systems.
• Drive automation in core accounting processes, including revenue, payroll, project costing, month-end closing, and internal controls.
• Develop Power BI dashboards for finance, labor costs, KPIs, and management reporting.
• Manage intercompany accounting, eliminations, and consolidation workflows.
• Implement intercompany journals, chart of accounts, and general ledger entries in Dynamics.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls over payroll, revenue, payments, and financial closing.
• Maintain audit trails, change logs, and compliance documentation for financial audits and tax inspections.
• Lead and enhance all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, variance tracking, and monthly performance reviews.
• Co-manage global accounting, payroll, and tax service providers alongside the Head of Legal.
• Support external audits, tax return preparation, and compliance efforts across various jurisdictions.
• Hire, train, and guide a team of accountants and analysts.
• Foster a culture of financial discipline, precision, and process improvement.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, or related financial roles.
• Strong expertise in accounting and financial reporting under IFRS.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Proven success in managing month-end closing processes and external audits.
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex formula modeling.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• High attention to detail, strong accountability, and the capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English.
• Preferred Qualifications
• ACCA certification.
• Experience in automating accounting and reporting processes within Business Central.
• Familiarity with international tax compliance, transfer pricing, and fundamental corporate law.
• Strong project management skills, particularly in scaling financial operations.
