This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Outbound prospecting and new business development.
• Create and implement a consistent outbound prospecting strategy aimed at corporate, nonprofit, association, and incentive group buyers in Southeast markets.
• Identify key decision-makers in target organizations—including HR and People leaders, executive assistants, operations directors, event planners, and association staff—and initiate contact through cold outreach, referrals, networking, and digital channels.
• Maintain a well-documented and healthy pipeline of qualified new business opportunities in the CRM, ensuring disciplined follow-up and conversion tracking.
• Craft customized proposals that align with each prospect’s objectives, integrating NOC’s multi-day lodging, outdoor adventure programming, dining, and facilitated group experiences into an appealing package.
• Oversee the sales process from initial outreach to contract execution, collaborating with the Group Sales Manager on complex or high-value negotiations.
• Achieve or surpass individual new revenue and new account acquisition targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Identify and highlight new vertical opportunities and untapped market segments that align with NOC’s group offerings.
• Networking and market presence.
• Attend and actively participate in trade shows, networking events, expos, and industry gatherings to generate new leads and enhance NOC’s presence in the premium group market.
• Foster relationships with corporate event planners, incentive travel agencies (DMCs/TMCs), nonprofit operations staff, association meeting planners, and other group influencers.
• Establish a referral network that consistently generates new group opportunities from partners and past contacts.
• Remain informed about competitor offerings, pricing, and positioning to sharpen NOC’s market pitch.
• Internal collaboration and handoff.
• Collaborate closely with the Group Sales Manager and Marketing and Sales Director to ensure proposals are accurate, operationally viable, and aligned with NOC’s capacity and current packages.
• Coordinate a seamless post-sale handoff to Custom Group Sales Representatives, Reservations, and Operations teams, setting clear expectations for both the client and internal partners.
• Work with Marketing on prospecting campaigns, sales collateral, and tools that support outbound initiatives.
• Regularly share market feedback—objections, competitor insights, and emerging segment trends—to help refine NOC’s group product and positioning.
• Minimum of 3 years of outbound sales experience, preferably in group hospitality, corporate event sales, incentive travel, association sales, or a related B2B field.
• Proven track record of generating new business through proactive prospecting rather than relying on inbound lead conversion.
• Experience in building and managing a pipeline and closing mid-value deals with multiple stakeholders.
• Existing relationships within corporate event planning, incentive travel, nonprofit, or association markets are a significant advantage.
• Comfortable with consultative selling, capable of understanding a client’s objectives and creating tailored solutions instead of merely quoting from a standard rate sheet.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills; able to engage confidently with senior-level contacts.
• Self-motivated and organized; able to manage a full prospecting calendar independently.
• Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital prospecting and outreach tools.
• Passionate about the outdoors and genuinely believe in outdoor adventure as a means for group connection and organizational development.
• Flexibility to work remotely and manage a self-directed daily schedule.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while conducting outreach via phone, video, and email.
• Willingness and capability to travel for client meetings, site visits, and trade shows, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
• Comfort in both office and outdoor environments; a willingness to participate in NOC adventure activities during client site visits is a plus.
