This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Create landing page wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma for service-oriented and eCommerce clients, optimized for high conversion rates.
• Convert campaign briefs, offer structures, and audience insights into distinct visual hierarchies — including hero sections, benefit blocks, social proof, and CTAs.
• Develop responsive page designs (for both desktop and mobile) adhering to direct response best practices: ensuring above-the-fold clarity, scannable layouts, and friction-minimizing form design.
• Construct design systems and reusable component libraries in Figma to expedite page production across various client accounts.
• Provide well-organized, developer-ready Figma files that include proper naming conventions, auto-layout, and clear specifications for spacing and typography.
• Refine existing landing pages based on A/B test outcomes and performance analytics — focusing not only on aesthetic preferences but on data-driven decisions.
• Design static ad creatives for Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Performance Max campaigns in multiple formats and placements.
• Create visually striking graphics that maintain brand consistency while enhancing direct response performance — featuring bold headlines, clear value propositions, and strong CTAs.
• Generate variations of ad creatives for A/B testing: experimenting with different hooks, layouts, color schemes, and copy arrangements.
• Operate from creative briefs and campaign strategies to produce assets that align with the respective funnel stages (TOFU, MOFU, BOFU).
• Manage a library of ad templates and design assets for swift iterations across client accounts.
• Comprehend platform-specific requirements such as safe zones, text density guidelines, aspect ratios, and format specifications for each placement.
• Proactively propose layout concepts, creative angles, and visual strategies based on successful conversions in paid media.
• Offer advice on landing page structure and content hierarchy rooted in direct response principles and conversion data.
• Analyze competitor landing pages and ad creatives, providing data-supported design recommendations.
• Collaborate with the paid media team to ensure creative outputs align with campaign objectives and audience targeting.
• Recognize the distinction between brand-first and performance-first design, tailoring outputs to fit accordingly.
• Work closely with paid media specialists, strategists, and account managers to synchronize design outputs with campaign performance goals.
• Adhere to turnaround deadlines while maintaining consistent quality, volume, and communication.
• Organize and uphold a design asset library in Figma for convenient retrieval and reuse across client accounts.
• Integrate feedback efficiently and effectively — viewing revisions as an integral part of the workflow rather than an afterthought.
• Over 2 years of experience in designing landing pages, wireframes, or conversion-centered web pages for agencies, SaaS, eCommerce, or service-oriented businesses.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma: including auto-layout, components, variants, design systems, responsive design, and developer handoff.
• A proven portfolio showcasing static ad creatives for Meta Ads, Google PMax, or similar paid media platforms.
• Deep understanding of direct response design principles: visual hierarchy, conversion flow, CTA positioning, trust signals, and reducing friction.
• Experience in designing for both service-based (lead generation) and eCommerce (product/DTC) environments.
• Solid knowledge of paid media fundamentals, including which creative performs for TOFU versus BOFU, how to structure ad variations for testing, and how platform placements impact design choices.
• Capability to transform written briefs into clear, engaging visual layouts with minimal creative direction.
• Strong typographic skills and layout discipline — focusing on clean grids, purposeful whitespace, and readable hierarchies.
• Familiarity with design tools beyond Figma, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva Pro for efficient asset production.
• Excellent written English skills (required) — capable of incorporating, editing, or suggesting headline and CTA copy within designs.
• A portfolio of landing page designs and/or ad creatives that emphasizes conversion performance.
